How to Schedule a Workflow with Kustomer

Kustomer's scheduled workflows automate actions based on time, such as marking inactive conversations or adjusting priority after a week.

Creating the scheduled workflow

The first step in this process is to create the scheduled workflow and answers the question "what should be scheduled to happen?" This workflow is triggered by a scheduled event, which means that it can only be scheduled by other workflows.

  1. Go to Settings and select Platform > Workflows.

  2. Select Add Workflow.

  3. From the popup that appears, select Custom Workflow.

  4. Enter a name for the workflow and then turn on the Callable Workflow toggle.

  5. Select Create.

  6. Once saved, you will be prompted to fill in the data fields that the workflow expects. Select the Callable Trigger, then select Edit Input Parameters.

  7. To modify a conversation's priority, add "conversationId" as a required input field of type "String". This parameter is essential for the workflow to function. Save changes by pressing "Update".

  8. Then, we'll add an action to limit the conversations we update. Add an Action step with Kustomer as the Action App, with the event Conversation: Lookup (By ID).

  9. Then add a Condition Step that makes sure the conversation status is not “Done” and that the priority is not already 4 or higher.

  10. Finally, we'll use the conversation Id that is passed in from the callable trigger to update the conversation's priority to 5 and Save!

Next, you want to create the workflow that triggers the scheduled workflow and determines when the action defined in the first workflow is going to take place.

Since the release of ChatGPT, the public discourse on AI has shifted, but DeepMind has long been engaged in discussions about safe AI systems. Ibrahim and DeepMind's founders declared that AI risks should be treated as seriously as pandemic and nuclear risks, emphasizing her role in mitigating those risks.

She joined DeepMind despite concerns, balancing the potential opportunities of AI with the severe risks it poses.

THE NERD CORNER 🤓

Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks mimic human memory. Like our hippocampus transitions short-term memories to long-term, LSTMs have gates to manage information. Specifically, they possess input, forget, and output gates. These gates decide what data to retain, remove, or use, enabling LSTMs to learn over long sequences, reflecting our own memory processes.
